It’s mostly been going pretty well. Turns out the 3x8 road shifters I have are compatible with the 3x7 drivetrain my Trek has. Unfortunately, the long pull v-brakes had to be replaced with cantilevers, but that wasn’t too expensive. I’d ride occationally on Zwift, but really, I just wasn’t riding much at all. Another story for another time. So I figured I should try out at least one group ride before I try a Zwift race. I took my first FTP test in years earlier in the week, and landed around 172W. I ran into our First Selectwoman on the way out from voting around 2:00 today. She said our town was already up over 42% turnout. If I remember right, our turnout on presidential years usually maxes out around the high 50s, and much lower for mid terms and local.
